Joy to the World, O Little Town of Bethlehem, Deck the Hall with Boughs of Holly, Angels We Have Heard on High, Silent Night, The First Noel, and O Tannebaum. Arrangements written in the most common keys for singing and are intended as accompaniments in sing-alongs and congregational use. The first five trumpet parts are essential to the arrangements. The sixth part contains the melodies when they aren't found in the other parts and can be played or taceted according to the wishes of the conductor. A very popular and widely used compilation.
ITG Journal, December, 1990, page 28:
"The CHRISTMAS CAROL ACCOMPANIMENTS...work very well as independent pieces...if they are used accompaniments to singing, the sixth part is optional. [The set includes Joy to the World (D), O Little Town of Bethlehem (F), Deck the Halls (F), Angels We Have Heard on High (G), Silent Night (B-flat), The First Noel (G), and O Tannenbaum (F)].
